My name is Elyse! I'm twenty-eight years old and from southeastern Pennsylvania. I am an enthusiastic artist working to achieve my dream of becoming an animator. I'd been drawing since I was merely three years old, and my earliest memory is being asked to draw pictures for my aunt's puppet show she was putting on for her students.  After that, art had consumed my entire life. I always had to find new ways of drawing, new mediums to try, and new styles to make my own.

First, it was drawing in a sketchbook, then it was acrylic/oil painting, and eventually, I learned about creating art digitally.

After graduating high school, I ended up enlisting in the Navy and spent 6 years working as a Arabic linguist, while also spending that time teaching myself how to draw digitally. Ever since, I found myself obsessed, and have been pushing to better my abilities in the hopes that one day, I can be one of the names behind a show that everyone knows and loves. 

After finishing my enlistment in the Navy, I began working for a local photography company, the next medium I wanted to try my hand at. I found that while art in other mediums like drawing, painting, etc, can be pretty isolating, Portrait photography is the complete opposite, for obvious reasons! I met many wonderful models on my journey that were so patient with me while I learned, and it has taught me lessons that I found were incredibly helpful when it came to digital art. I didn't realize just how important composition was until I began taking pictures.

I hope one day that I can apply my skills and achieve my dream of becoming an animator!
